CBS Outdoor, one of the largest outdoor advertising companies in the world, posted ad copy that stated “Jesus is Muslim” on a billboard on Cleveland Avenue in Columbus Ohio.
A CreepingSharia report titled: Billboards claim “Jesus is Muslim” and “Mohammed is in the Bible” states in part: “Jesus isn’t Muslim. To insinuate that he is, is a lie, an absurdity,” said the Rev. The Ask-a-Muslim.com website states in part: Muslims are Christians For starters, Muslims are Christians – if “Christian” means someone following the teachings of Christ, so by learning about Islam you are not disobeying Jesus.
There are many reasons to be concerned about the Ask a Muslim campaign. One concern is this propaganda is designed to erroneously equate Islam to Christ.
Muslim: The definition of Muslim is “an adherent of Islam.” Islam is defined as “a religion articulated by the Quran.”
Christian: A Christian is defined as a believer in Jesus Christ and follower of Christ’s teachings. Christians believe that Jesus is the son of God and accept His death on the cross as atonement for their sins.
THEREFORE, Muslims are NOT Christians. And the spiritual consequences of convincing the public that they are equal will have eternal consequences. The whole premise of this advertising campaign is erroneous.
The Ask-a-Muslim billboard campaign appears to be propaganda designed to confuse the masses about the true nature of Islam and disarm an otherwise uneducated public about Islamism. If Ask-a-Muslim wants to promote Islam they should do it factually without diminishing the integrity of other religions.
CBS Outdoor, one of the largest billboard companies in the world, is the company that posted this billboard. Oddly, none of the news reports mentioned that CBS Outdoor was the advertising company. Print, cable and radio media across the country routinely reject advertising copy because of inaccuracies or company bias. Why didn’t CBS Outdoor perform due diligence by denying this preposterous ad copy? Why is CBS Outdoor being part of a media campaign to convince Americans that Muslims are Christians?
Florida Family Association called and sent emails to Richard Dabrowski, CBS Outdoor Sales Manager for Columbus Ohio. The emails and phone message requested to know if CBS Outdoor planned to post anymore of the erroneous ad copy produced by Ask-a-Muslim. Mr. Dabrowski declined to respond to repeated emails and phone calls.
Florida Family Association has prepared an email for you to send that urges CBS Outdoor officials to perform due diligence to prevent that posting of erroneous ad copy that could diminish the integrity of other faiths.
